Homeopathy

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a system of medicine based on the principle of similia similibus curentur, or "like cures like".  In essence, a homeopathic remedy is chosen based on its similarity to your specific symptoms.  Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, performed provings (experiments) from which to derive these remedies.  These provings consisted of administering remedies to healthy individuals then observing and documenting the reaction.  Over the years, more and more provings have been added to the materia medica.

Homeopathic remedies are ultra-diluted substances that, when properly chosen, stimulate the life force and thus healing. I had the honor of training under award-winning Dr. Stephen Messer. Much of my clinical career focused in homeopathy for several reason- Dr. Messer pushed me to be an excellent clinician first and foremost, the positive benefits of homeopathy were undeniable within my first quarter of clinical training, and homeopathy is safe and effective for nearly every person (pregnant women and children included!). Another bonus is that homeopathic remedies will not interfere with prescription medications.

I have personally used homeopathy in my clinic to treat anxiety, depression, constipation, migraines, acute illnesses, and more.  It is not uncommon for patients to get a remedy on their first visit to get the healing process started while we gather records and complete labs.
