10 Healthy Halloween Treats
Holidays can be tough. All the planning and running around sometimes gets the best of us and we all know the fix for a bad day is some chocolate! But, with a little preparation you can get through the celebrations without sabotaging your (or your kiddos) gut, thyroid, adrenals, hormones, or whatever else you are struggling with. Getting kids to avoid the sugary treats is pretty much impossible so just do your best!
To avoid a complete kiddo meltdown, try these 3 tips during Halloween:
🎃 Allow them to “binge” for 1-2 days then throw out all the candy.
🎃 Buy healthier versions of the typical Halloween goodies. Think organic gummies, Justin’s peanut butter cups, chocolate covered almonds, etc. Most of these can be found at Sprouts or your local health food store.
🎃 Switch out the candy they get from trick-or-treating for healthier snacks made at home. The great thing is… you can eat them too!
